Our Story

Grain to glass

Every bottle begins with a handshake—between our family and the Colorado farmers who grow our grains using regenerative practices that honor the land. From mashing and fermentation to double pot distillation and patient barrel aging, we control every step with the precision of craftsmen and the care of storytellers. What you taste in your glass is the result of countless decisions made across years, all in service of creating spirits that connect you back to the soil where it all started.

Meet the Distiller

Rob Masters has been shaping the craft spirits industry since 2007, serving as a co-founder of the Colorado Distillers Guild and bringing his expertise to distilleries across the country. As our Head Distiller, he’s part mad scientist, part master craftsman—balancing grain selection, fermentation timing, and precise cuts during double pot distillation to coax out the perfect flavors. When he’s not in the distillery, you’ll find him on Denver’s north side with his wife Heather, son Henrik, and his dog Juniper—yes, that Juniper.

Our Spirits

We craft three distinct lines to match how you drink: Original Jones features 100% Colorado grains from family farms using regenerative techniques, delivering rich, complex spirits with depth and character.

From grain to glass, every sip tells a story.

Automatic Jones brings high-proof, ready-to-pour cocktails that require nothing more than a chill and a pour. Jones House offers clean, blendable base spirits made with pure Colorado spring water—no glycerin, no citric acid, no added sugar—just honest spirits for your own creations.

Our Farmers

When we say ‘farm-to-bottle,’ we mean we know the farmers by name, we’ve walked their fields, and we understand their stories. These aren’t just business relationships—they’re partnerships built on shared values and mutual respect.

Behind every bottle are the hands that tend the soil.

Our partners practice regenerative agriculture—farming methods that restore and revitalize the land while producing grains with more complex flavors and deeper character. When they nurture their soil, they’re nurturing our spirits.

Meet the family farmers who make our spirits possible.

Olander farms & root shoot malting

Pride and family values are essential to the process at Root Shoot Malting. As 5th generation farmers, the Olander family respects the heritage of their region’s agriculture, taking what they learned from generations before them and applying it to regenerative practices that make the least impact on the Earth—keeping the land healthy for the next generation of Root Shoot farmers.

Located in Loveland, just around the corner from our distillery, this proximity allows us to maintain close collaboration with Emily and her family. Their commitment to quality means every grain meets the highest standards before it reaches our still.

Jones Farms Organics

Located about 30 minutes from the Great Sand Dunes National Park & Preserve, Jones Farms Organics is a multigenerational operation that converted to 100% organic in 2005 with an emphasis on soil health, regenerative practices, water conservation, crop rotation, multi-species cover crops, and diversification.

Although mostly known for their exceptional potato crops, the Jones family began growing beautiful and hardy Ryman Rye as a cover crop to protect the soil during harsh Colorado winters. When they discovered that folks were willing to purchase their rye and distill it into exceptional spirits, a natural partnership with The Family Jones Distillery was born—no relation, just shared values. Now they earn income for protecting their soil, creating a win-win that honors both the land and the craft.
